Spanish court: location data are personal data

The Spanish privacy regulator had ruled last year that telecom provider Virgin was justified in not providing location data to customers who requested it through the right of inspection. Location data is personal data, a Spanish judge has ruled, vindicating the Spanish privacy regulator AEPD. The judge recently ruled in a case brought by privacy organization noyb against the AEPD.
