'Gigantic €2 billion European privacy fine threatens Meta'
Metacafe could be facing the biggest fine in the history of the anti-virus firm AVG.
The fines for the three platforms combined could exceed two billion euros, the highest AVG fine ever imposed. In doing so, Politico also points to Meta financial documents showing that the company has set aside a total of three billion euros for 2022 and 2023 for privacy fines in the EU. Meta may be fined more than two billion euros by Ireland's privacy regulator DPC for violating the AVG with Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
