Collaborating on Digital Resilience at DTCE24

DTCE 2024

At DTCE24, experts discussed how to strengthen digital resilience. Harmen from RiskStudio shared insights into supply chain risks and supplier trust.

On 16 May 2024, the Digital Trust Center hosted its very first community event, DTCE24, at the Prodentfabriek in Amersfoort. Under the theme Connect, Trust, Strengthen, entrepreneurs, cybersecurity experts, and public-private stakeholders came together to share insights, network, and advance digital resilience in the Netherlands. One of the speakers was Harmen, data scientists at RiskStudio, who spoke about making digital supply chain risks visible.

Why DTCE24 mattered

DTCE24 was not just another conference. It was a vibrant, community-focused event where participants engaged deeply with each other on digital challenges and opportunities. The core principles of the day:

  • Connect: building a cybersecurity community across sectors.

  • Trust: enabling cooperation through openness and shared responsibility.

  • Strengthen: increasing resilience through shared knowledge and smart tools.

The diversity of participants — from large enterprises to small businesses — created valuable cross-sector dialogue.

Harmen’s contribution: Risk in the supply chain

In one of the sessions, Harmen from RiskStudio highlighted how organizations can identify digital risks in their supply chain. RiskStudio enables companies to monitor both their suppliers and their suppliers’ suppliers continuously — without requiring lengthy assessments or intrusive access.

Key takeaways from his session:

  • Digital resilience starts with knowing who you’re digitally connected to.

  • Incidents at third parties can have serious ripple effects.

  • Visibility and proactive monitoring help companies stay ahead of threats.

Harmen demonstrated how RiskStudio turns complexity into clarity, enabling smarter decisions around supplier risk — all while reducing friction in business relationships.

Building trust through shared visibility

A key insight from DTCE24: trust doesn’t happen by default. It requires transparency, shared insights, and clear communication. RiskStudio plays a role in that process by giving companies real-time visibility into their digital landscape and the behavior of key third parties.

DTCE24 showed that digital resilience is a shared journey. By working together, sharing expertise, and acting on data, organizations make the entire ecosystem stronger.

Conclusion

DTCE24 marked an important step in building a digitally resilient business community in the Netherlands. RiskStudio is proud to have contributed and remains committed to supporting transparency and collaboration in cybersecurity.
