Release Notes v1.12: What to Expect Next

overview features release riskstudio v1.12

An explanation of the features

On April 16, 2025, RiskStudio released a new version, 20250416-V1.12, with some powerful enhancements that take the way you manage cyber risk to the next level. With this release, you now get deeper and more detailed insights, allowing you to respond more quickly to threats, especially in your vendor chain.

What's new?

1. Hygiene and Exposure Scores for the Company Rating.

The new Hygiene and Exposure scores are the core of the updated Company Rating. The Hygiene Score provides insight into an organization’s basic security measures, while the Exposure Score details vulnerable exposures such as outdated technologies, misconfigurations, exposure tokens and recorded blacklists. These scores help you quickly understand where the biggest risks lie in your digital supply chain, so you can determine where conversation with your vendors is needed to mitigate risks.

2. Expanded Cyber Footprint

The Cyber Footprint is now further expanded, providing information not only on the technologies used, but also on certificates, issuers, IP addresses and the geographic locations of your vendors’ systems. This provides crucial insights about the CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) that apply, and which technologies and infrastructures are being used. This allows you to better assess whether there are vulnerabilities that could impact your organization, and have the right conversation with the vendor to mitigate those risks.

3. Company Profile: Everything You Need to Know

With the new Company Profile you now get detailed information about the company, including contracts and important contacts. This allows you to react quickly if there are changes in your supplier relationships. In addition, you can set notifications as reminders for past agreements. This way, you always stay informed when a contract is about to expire and you can have timely discussions with your supplier about any renewal or risks that need to be addressed.

4. Audit Logging and Comment Options.

The new audit logging provides complete transparency about who performed what actions in the system, so you always have insight into the changes that have been made. In addition, you can now leave comments on specific companies or incidents. This promotes collaboration within your team and ensures that everyone always has the most up-to-date information when assessing vendor risks.

5. Federated Login: Secure and Easy

RiskStudio now makes it even easier for you to log in by supporting Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn accounts. This simplifies access and increases the security of the platform so you can get up and running quickly without hassle.

6. Other Improvements

  • Improved Notifications: The styling of notifications has been improved, and additional notifications have been added so you are always aware of important changes or events.
  • New Subscription Model: With the new subscription model, you now only pay for companies you actually monitor, which is cost-saving and offers flexibility.
  • New Terms and Conditions of Use: Upon registration, users are now asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions, for greater clarity and transparency.
  • Labels for Companies: You can now manage and assign labels to companies to improve the organization of your data. This makes it easier to categorize and quickly find specific companies or groups of companies.
  • Security Updates: Major security improvements have been made to ensure platform security.
  • Bug Fixes and Minor Improvements: Several bugs have been fixed and many minor improvements have been made that improve overall performance and user experience.

Why is this update important?

With version 20250416-V1.12 of RiskStudio, you get the tools you need to effectively manage your supplier chain’s cyber risks. You can now obtain factual and detailed information about the digital health of your suppliers, similar to how you retrieve financial data or Chamber of Commerce extracts. This helps you not only identify risks, but also engage with your suppliers about their security measures.

When working with vendors who have critical access to your systems or customer data, it’s essential to have not only trust, but also data that supports your decisions. With the new features, you won’t be able to act directly on a vulnerability, such as a CVE, but you can work with your supplier to address these risks together.

What does this mean for you?

Whether you’re conducting a supplier evaluation or continuously monitoring your supply chain, these new features give you the insights you need to make informed decisions. No more surprises about your suppliers’ digital resilience – just transparency, factual information and the ability to quickly and effectively engage with your suppliers.
