In September 2025, the three-day event KPN Vision Unfold took place in Ede, a regular fixture within KPN’s partner network. For directors and CISOs of medium-sized organizations, this event was particularly relevant because it not only showcased new technology, but also discussed responsibility, collaboration, and risk management in an increasingly complex digital chain.
Vision Unfold focuses explicitly on the question of how partners and customers can work together to respond to a market in which cyber threats, legislation, and dependencies are succeeding each other at an ever-increasing pace. The strength of the event lies in the combination of vision and practice: no abstract visions of the future, but concrete examples of how services should develop. This is precisely what makes Vision Unfold more than just a trade fair; it is a strategic meeting point where direction is given to the role of technology within business continuity and trust.
A platform for partnership and joint growth
Vision Unfold is set up for the KPN Partner Network and revolves around discovering new layers in the market: where customer needs, technological developments, and commercial opportunities come together. For partners, the event offers space to share experiences, deepen collaborations, and explore new propositions. In discussions, it became clear that many organizations are struggling with the same questions: how do you remain agile, how do you comply with increasing laws and regulations, and how do you make cybersecurity relevant to the business?
By bringing partners, suppliers, and customers together, an ecosystem is created in which these questions are not addressed individually, but collectively. This fits in with the reality of today, in which organizations are highly dependent on their digital chain and no one can organize cybersecurity alone anymore.
Why RiskStudio was present
RiskStudio was present at Vision Unfold with its own stand as a strategic partner within the KPN ecosystem. This presence was no coincidence. Within KPN’s NIS2 proposition, supply chain risk management plays a central role. NIS2 obliges organizations not only to have their own security in order, but also to have structural insight into risks at suppliers, customers, and partners.
RiskStudio offers a solution for this that continuously and in real time monitors external cyber risks, without burdening organizations with extensive questionnaires or audits. By using public and technical risk signals, an up-to-date and objective picture of the digital resilience of the chain is created. This is relevant for partners because it combines compliance with direct added value for customers.
From compliance to concrete business value
An important theme during Vision Unfold was the shift from ‘having to comply’ to ‘adding value’. Legislation such as NIS2 is still seen by many organizations as a mandatory exercise, while it offers opportunities to improve services and strengthen trust. In discussions with partners, it became clear that they are looking for solutions that are insightful, fast, and proactive.
RiskStudio responds to this by making supply chain risks visible in a way that is also understandable for non-technical decision-makers. This helps directors and CISOs to make well-founded choices: where are we really at risk, which suppliers require extra attention, and where should we prioritize? By linking these insights to KPN’s infrastructure and market reach, a proposition is created that is not only compliant, but also strategically relevant.
Collaboration within broader ecosystems
In addition to the collaboration with KPN, RiskStudio is a partner of Samen Digitaal Veilig (Together Digitally Safe), a Dutch initiative that supports organizations in improving their digital resilience and achieving the NIS2 Quality Mark. This collaboration underlines an important insight that was widely shared during Vision Unfold: cybersecurity is not a separate IT theme, but an integral part of good governance and risk management. By bundling knowledge, tooling, and best practices, partners can better guide customers in structural improvements. It shows that technical compliance and high-quality services do not exclude each other, but rather reinforce each other.
Conversations that give direction
During the three days in Ede, RiskStudio spoke with hundreds of partners, customers, and experts from the IT and cybersecurity world. Two signals came back repeatedly. Firstly, NIS2 remains high on the administrative agenda, especially because directors are becoming increasingly aware of their responsibility for chain risks. Secondly, supply chain risk management is no longer seen as a ‘nice-to-have’, but as an essential part of modern cybersecurity services. The combination of KPN’s policy, infrastructure, and reach with the real-time risk insights of RiskStudio was seen by many interlocutors as a logical and powerful whole.
Review and outlook
KPN Vision Unfold 2025 was more than an event for RiskStudio; it was a confirmation of the direction the market is taking. Collaboration, transparency, and continuous risk assessment form the basis for future-proof digital services. The presence within the KPN ecosystem strengthens our mission to help organizations truly understand and manage their digital chains. With an eye on 2026, we look forward to further expanding these collaborations and sharing new insights and solutions. Because only by making risks visible can organizations turn them into sustainable value.
